The Lunar New year, or in Korean “Seollal” is a special time of year for all cultures from Asia. It is a festival celebrating the beginning of a new year on the traditional Lunisolar calendar. It was traditionally a time to honour deities and ancestors, and also become a time to feast and visit family members. This year, 2023 is the year of the Rabbit. The sign of the Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity and is predicted to be a year of hope.

Father's day is right around the corner and Head Chef Insup Kim is bringing you a Korean fusion dining experience that is bound to make any dad's day. Show them how much you appreciate him this Father's day!

What better way to treat him than by spoiling him with a specially curated degustation at Sydney's only contemporary Korean restaurant. Offering a 4 & 6-course dinner degustation menu, and a 3 & 5-course lunch menu, this season we feature Winter's best seasonal and local produce fused with unique cooking methods to bring them to life on a plate. Additionally, we are so proud to offer our guests a seasonal truffle add-on to enhance the flavour of any of our dishes.

Jung Sung Truffle Dinner

We are now taking bookings for our Truffle dinner on the Thursday the 11th August.

A special time of year. The season of winter allows us to pair the season’s most incredible produce with the freshest black truffle. Earthy yet complex and rich, truffles are sought-after indulgences that can elevate already great dishes to the next level. Delve into this glorious delicacy when you try our one-night-only Truffle degustation dinner.

Head chef Insup Kim has specially curated a 5-course degustation featuring the freshest Australian black truffles supplied by our friends at Hartley Truffles.

Richard & Jane Austen founded Hartley Truffles at their family farm in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia in 2007. Their two varieties of oak now produce beautiful Tuber melanosporum, also known as ‘black perigord’ or black winter truffle. With the help of their two border collie dogs, they harvest fresh truffles during June, July and August for the domestic and export market.

This night is an experience that highlights the exceptional delicacy that is truffle but remains synonymous with the Jung Sung Philosophy.
